Student at an NDatUT event

Events and Workshops

Longhorn TIES coordinates NDatUT programs and events across campus. Offerings vary by semester and commonly include free socials and skill-building workshops for undergraduate and graduate students.

Designed to support neurodivergent students, NDatUT programs are open to all UT Austin students.

Our goal is to build neurodivergent community on campus and create supportive environments for students to connect in ways that work for their brains.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a diagnosis?

No. NDatUT welcomes students who are formally diagnosed, students who self-identify as neurodivergent or anyone interested in the event. We don’t ask for documentation.

Do I need to participate in TIESplus services?

No. Longhorn TIES coordinates NDatUT programming, and that programming is open to the whole campus community whether or not you participate in TIESplus.

I’m a graduate student. Can I attend events?

Yes. Undergraduate and graduate students are welcome.

What if I’m not neurodivergent?

You’re welcome too. Plenty of people come to support a friend, learn more about neurodivergence or just get crafty at a social.

Do I have to commit to all the events?

No. Come to one event or come to all of them. There’s no membership or ongoing obligation.

What if I don’t want to talk to anyone?

Most of our events have energy indicators for how social you're feeling. Conversation is always optional. You can observe, take a break or leave when you need to. Showing up and not talking to anyone is a completely legitimate way to attend.
