Empower Neurodivergent Longhorns

Neurodivergent students face unique barriers that impact their success in college. Research points to difficulties in executive functioning, social communication, and self-advocacy as contributing factors. Stigma and a lack of appropriate support services further exacerbate these challenges.

Longhorn TIES (Transition, Illuminate, Empower, Succeed) was established in 2020 to address these challenges and help neurodivergent Longhorns thrive. Our mission is to support student success and enrich the college experiences for students who identify as neurodivergent (autism, ADHD, etc.) through self-advocacy, connections, and training.

Longhorn TIES encompasses TIESplus one-on-one student support services, NDatUT campus-wide programming and events, presentations and trainings, and more.

Through these initiatives, we aim to create a more supportive campus environment where neurodivergent students can thrive academically, socially, professionally, and personally.
