Trainings and Resources
Neurodivergent Longhorns bring deep focus, pattern recognition, attention to detail and creative problem-solving to the Forty Acres. Our standardized and customizable trainings and educational resources show you how to recognize those strengths in the people you work with and create classrooms, offices and programs that support them.
Group Trainings
Bring a training to your class, department, student organization or team. Live sessions are available for groups of 15 or more and can be tailored to your audience and goals. Customized trainings require at least four weeks' notice.
Online Resources
Browse guides, syllabus language, practical strategies and an on-demand training designed for flexible, self-paced learning. Resources are available anytime and can be used independently or shared with teammates.
Campuswide Trainings
Join a scheduled training session with faculty, staff and students from across the Forty Acres. Offered once or twice each long term, these sessions provide an opportunity to collaboratively learn how to support neurodivergent Longhorns.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do trainings cost anything?
Trainings are provided free of charge to UT Austin colleges, departments, programs and student organizations, subject to staff availability. Fees may apply for external organizations and audiences.
How far in advance should we request?
Submit as early as you can. We require at least four weeks’ notice for customized trainings.
How quickly will we hear back?
You can expect to hear back from us within three to five business days.
Do attendees need to know anything about neurodivergence beforehand?
No. Our trainings are designed for people new to the topic, and attendees often have a wide range of familiarity.
Can attendance be required?
No. All Longhorn TIES trainings and workshops are voluntary. UT students, faculty and staff members cannot be required to attend.
What if my group is smaller than 15?
Our online resources may be a better fit. You’re also welcome to reach out, and we’ll help you find something that works.
