TIESplus offers personalized coaching for UT Austin students with autism and/or ADHD. Our trained coaches support students in executive functioning, time management, social communication, independent living and more.
Eligibility and Application
Open to admitted or enrolled UT Austin students
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Early submission is recommended as services typically do not begin once the semester is underway
No diagnostic or educational records are required

Levels of Service
Note: All students will be recommended a level of service based on their application and initial consult meeting. The appropriate level of service is reevaluated at the end of every term.
Level 1: Full College Transition Support
- Best for: First-year, second-year and transfer undergraduates
- Includes: Weekly 1:1 coaching, group coaching, transition planning meetings, progress monitoring, tailored support across academic, social and life skills, required event attendance
Level 2: General Student Support
- Best for: Undergraduate and graduate students seeking regular support
- Includes: Bi-weekly 1:1 coaching, weekly progress checks, tailored coaching, access to events and workshops, required event attendance
Level 3: Monthly Support
- Best for: Final-year undergraduate or graduate students
- Includes: Monthly 1:1 coaching, bi-weekly progress checks, focused on transition to post-grad life, access to workshops, required professional development event attendance

Academic Planning and Success
Executive functioning, organization, study strategies, accessing accommodations, professor communication
Social Connection and Relationships
Navigating student life, roommate communication, joining organizations, building social skills
Health and Wellness
- Mental health referrals, medical service access, stress management, sleep and life balance
Independent Living
- Personal finance, hygiene and self-care routines, navigating Austin, managing daily tasks
Professional Development
- Resume and cover letter help, job search strategies, mock interviews, referrals to UT career services
Workshops and Events
Students in all levels have access to TIESplus workshops, socials, exclusive study halls and a supportive peer community via Canvas and Slack. Each student is required to attend a number of events per semester depending on their service level.
Financial Assistance and Scholarship
Undergraduate students may be eligible for sponsorship through Texas Workforce Commission – Vocational Rehabilitation (TWC-VR)
Graduate students are not eligible for TWC-VR sponsorship at this time
The UT Austin Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid may offer additional support
